Is Your Wig Safe to Wear?

The "Itchy Scalp" is often a chemical burn. Low-quality wigs are frequently processed in harsh alkaline baths and contain dangerous levels of formaldehyde to force a shine.

As a vendor, you aren't just selling hair; you are responsible for your client's health.

pH > 9.0

Typical "Cheap" Wig Alkalinity (Irritant)

Carcinogens

Banned Aromatic Amines often found in black dyes.

The Neutralization Protocol

Human skin is naturally acidic (pH ~5.5). Wearing highly alkaline hair causes irritation, dryness, and breakage.

According to GB/T 41637-2022, we enforce a strict pH balance.

0 (Acid) 7 (Neutral) 14 (Alkaline)
Yarahair Safe Zone: pH 4.0 - 8.5

*Strictly complying with Standard GB/T 41637-2022 Table 1.

Chemical Toxicology Limits

We test for restricted substances to ensure our wigs are safe for daily wear and medical use.

Substance National Limit (GB/T 41637) Yarahair Result Status
Formaldehyde ≤ 75 mg/kg Not Detected PASS
Carcinogenic Dyes Banned (Forbidden) Not Detected PASS
Heavy Metals (Pb, Cd) Strict Limits (e.g., Cd < 0.1mg/kg) Below Detection Limit PASS
Odor No Abnormal Odor Neutral / Clean PASS

Fire Resistance Rating

Synthetic or mixed hair can melt and stick to the scalp during accidental ignition. Our human hair is self-extinguishing.

Tested via Vertical Burn Method (GB/T 33731-2017).

Class A (Yarahair)

Standard: Damaged length ≤ 150mm

After-flame Time: 0.0 seconds

Result: Flame self-extinguishes immediately upon removal of ignition source. Ash residue.

Class C (Others)

Standard: Burns completely.

After-flame Time: > 10.0 seconds

Result: Continues to burn. Synthetic mixes produce molten drips that can cause severe burns.
